Remember when I made those “healthier” lemon donuts a few months back? If not, see below…
Well I took the exact same recipe from the lemon donuts but replaced the lemon for chocolate!
These were easy to make because all I had to do was look back on the blog.
Ingredients:
Donuts
-
1 cup all-purpose flour
-
1/4 cup cocoa powder
-
1 cup almond meal
-
1 tsp baking powder
-
1/2 tsp salt
-
1/4 cup vegetable oil
-
1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
-
1/4 cup brown sugar
-
2/3 cup plus 2 Tbsp almond milk
-
1/2 tsp vanilla
Glaze
-
1/8 cup cocoa powder
-
2 to 3 Tbsp coffee creamer (or half and half)
Directions:
-
Mix dry ingredients in one bowl – flour through salt.
-
In second bowl, mix wet ingredients together – oil through vanilla (including brown sugar).
-
Combine wet ingredients with dry, folding together.
-
Grease donut pan and preheat oven to 350F.
-
Bake 12 to 14 minutes.
-
Whisk cocoa powder and creamer together a Tbsp at a time until right consistency forms.
-
Let donuts cool, then drizzle chocolate glaze over donuts.
-
ENJOY!
