I have made my own pasta before and it was awesome. I was in the grocery store and spotted in the organic section parsley pasta. I quickly read the ingredients and realized there were only 3 ingredients listed: organic parsley, organic garlic powder and brown rice flour. Guess what, I had those 3 ingredients at home! Instead of spending $4 on a box of pasta, I came home and made it myself! The recipe went like this…
Ingredients
-
3/4 cup brown rice flour
-
1/8 cup fresh chopped parsley
-
1/4 tsp garlic powder
-
1 egg
-
2 to 3 Tbsp olive oil
Directions
-
Place flour on work surface and make well in middle.
-
Crack egg and place in middle.
-
Incorporate egg into flour with fingers.
-
Add parsley and garlic to mixture.
-
Add oil, tablespoon at a time to dough until moist, continue kneading well.
-
Wrap dough in wet paper towel and refrigerate 2 hours.
-
Flour work surface and roll dough out until very thin.
-
Use pizza cutter to cut dough into long, thin strands.
-
Boil pasta for 10 minutes in salted water.
-
ENJOY with your favorite pesto sauce!
