Parsley & Garlic Pasta

Posted on

I have made my own pasta before and it was awesome. I was in the grocery store and spotted in the organic section parsley pasta. I quickly read the ingredients and realized there were only 3 ingredients listed: organic parsley, organic garlic powder and brown rice flour. Guess what, I had those 3 ingredients at home! Instead of spending $4 on a box of pasta, I came home and made it myself! The recipe went like this…

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup brown rice flour
  • 1/8 cup fresh chopped parsley
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 egg
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp olive oil

Directions

  1. Place flour on work surface and make well in middle.
  2. Crack egg and place in middle.
  3. Incorporate egg into flour with fingers.
  4. Add parsley and garlic to mixture.
  5. Add oil, tablespoon at a time to dough until moist, continue kneading well.
  6. Wrap dough in wet paper towel and refrigerate 2 hours.
  7. Flour work surface and roll dough out until very thin.
  8. Use pizza cutter to cut dough into long, thin strands.
  9. Boil pasta for 10 minutes in salted water.
  10. ENJOY with your favorite pesto sauce!
