So I am sharing my outfit with you all because I got a few compliments on it last night and I thought I threw together a cute, cheap outfit on a whim! I was kinda excited. No, really excited.

Shirt = TJ Maxx $12.99

Shorts = Forever 21 $9.99

Shoes = Marshalls $17.99

I have had all these items for a bit now. The shoes and shorts are from last summer (!) and the shirt is actually from this fall. I thought the shirt went more with skinny jeans, but I was happily surprised when I paired it together with shorts. I think the two compliment each other because the shirt is more flow-y and the shorts are more form-fitting. I always read in the Style magazine if you expose one part of your body, in this situation my legs, don’t expose your upper body and, of course, vice versa (upper body exposed, don’t expose lower body).

Do you have any great outfits you put together on a whim and without breaking your Wachovia bank account? Please share!

cherry/blackberry breakfast souffle

Posted on

Maybe you could use this recipe this morning or tomorrow morning as a breakfast/dessert idea! I found this recipe from the very first blog I ever started reading, Eat, Live, Run. Jenna describes this treat as a dessert, where I might say it’s more like a fancy-schmancy breakfast dish you might take to a brunch or after church get together. It would go nice there, I can just tell. The reason I say so is because the eggs are very apparent in this cake and if you like eggs, you are in for a treat.

Ingredients:

1 lb cherries, pitted

1 c blackberries

1/3 c agave

1 c vanilla almond milk

4 T butter melted

1 t vanilla

4 eggs

1/2 c flour

Directions:

  1. Pit cherries and sprinkle on the bottom of a pyrex 9 inch square dish. Mix blackberries with the cherries.
  2. Put all other ingredients in the blender and mix together.
  3. Pour mixture over fruit.
  4. Bake at 400F for 45 minutes.
  5. ENJOY!
